"15 Days Mysteries of Egypt and Jordan with Nile Cruise
APRIL 18TH – MAY 2nd
My husband and I recently completed this amazing tour and are pleased to give a review of the experience. First and foremost, never once did we feel in any way at risk due to the current situation of volatility in the Middle East. We were met at the various airports by Tripoppo representatives, who ensured all our documentation was processed through the local authorities. We booked this tour last June, prior to the escalation of hostilities and did have concerns, but they were unfounded. We travelled in comfort on modern, large, air conditioned busses and felt extremely safe.
The tour itself was made even more memorable by our two local tour guides, Mr. EMAD ENAN in Egypt and Mr. BASHAR TWAL in Jordan. Their level of expertise and knowledge was encyclopedic and they looked after the most minute details on our behalf. Mr. Enan quickly became a friend to our group of 18, the majority of whom were friends prior to the trip. He shepherded us through temples and museums, churches and citadels, onto camel rides and through vendors, always with a cheerful “Yallah, yallah… Let’s go”, clearing a pathp wherever we went. Mr. Bashar, likewise, was equally personable and, like Mr. Enan, attentive to the different levels of fitness of the group. On a day when no one had booked the optional offering, he ensured we had an added experience at the River Jordan.
We took advantage of all optional tours but one and they definitely made the adventure unforgettable. The information from Trippopo was clear and concise and contained everything we needed to know.
The hotels were excellent and the Nile cruise accommodations were above our expectations. Everywhere we went the food was a culinary delight. Even the boxed lunches prepared were more than ample.
We are seasoned cruise travelers, however, this was our first tour living out of our suitcases. Everything ran extremely smoothly, but with all the optional tours, there was very little free time. This is something to be aware of. This tour is not for the feint-hearted. Getting up at 3:15 a.m. to travel to a sunrise hot air balloon ride, followed by a tour of the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut in 46°C, all before lunch makes for a full schedule!
My one disappointment, and it's likely not to be helped, was losing essentially two days sitting in airports. There were four internal flights and airlines, being what they are, rarely seem to arrive or depart on time. I don't know if logistics could be better scheduled. Just something to be aware of.
In conclusion, this adventure will go down as a highlight in our journeys throughout the world. Our appreciation for the local customs, cultures, ancient history, religions, and the people will never be forgotten. Shukran, Habibi."

"This was our 1st trip with an organized tour rather than independently and I believe we have been spoiled for future trips! Absolutely 1st rate organization and value beginning with Belle and Jason in the Toronto office (esp. the helpful pre-trip prep video). The movement from place to place in a very full programme of activities was seamless; the cruise ship was very well appointed ,and the hotels were all top quality. Best of all, we were blessed with 2 outstanding guides -- Khalid Killaney in Egypt and Bashar Twal in Jordan. Both were encyclopedic in knowledge but ,more importantly, were engaging and personable -- really cared about the clients welfare and interests! Absolutely tremendous value for the money spent and the organization's attention to detail was wonderful. A couple of caveats : our group agreed that the last day's drive around the city of Amman was a waste of time which would have been better spent at the memorable sites visited in the afternoon. Finally, we were not impressed with the half hearted (at best) help from your Cairo emergency rep, Waleed Salam, when 1 of our suitcases was lost in the flights from Aswan to Jordan via Cairo. Luckily, we found it ourselves when we returned to Cairo, but Mr. Salam offered no real assistance at all."

"Most professional organized tour and the experience of traveling was exceptional. Sight seeing and all the optional tours were enchanting. Some optional tours could be organized with more time allowed such as staying over for one more tent night at Wadi rum. Food was great but lacking choices for vegetarians. Air flights layover time could be reduced at airports. Had a great time and traveling companions were friendly."

"Our trip to Egypt/Jordan was very enjoyable. Our hotels were all very nice and the buffet food was good. We saw a lot and our guides were very knowledgeable. We felt safe at all times. Our only suggestions would be for the guides to use the individual headsets on the bus as sometimes the microphone did not project to the back of the bus. Also, we felt that there was a few too many shopping experiences. The staff at Tripoppo in the office were very quick to answer questions and resolve issues. "This tour was truly spectacular, it was fast paced while being very organized beginning with Mohammed greeting us at the airport. Our guide in Egypt, Ali was first class and went out of his way to make everything perfect including feeling safe at all times. His knowledge of ancient Egypt was astounding and he was always willing to answer any questions. The 4 night Nile cruise was unforgettable as were all the ancient sites. The food quality varied but was always plentiful. The Jordan extension is highly recommended as Omar was an excellent guide and the sites are equally as spectacular. The pace was fast, the hotels and food were excellent and our driver was top notch. It was not necessary to communicate with Tripoppo other than the booking process which was flawless. "Our guide in Egypt (Emad Enan) was very knowledgeable, energetic and personable. He made sure the group was well taken care of. The accommodations were lovely, meals were all buffets which were ok. There was many very early mornings!Unfortunately our group was booked on 3 different flights from Cairo to Amman which was inconvenient as people were waiting at either end.
In Jordan our guide was polar opposite to the one in Egypt. He was more interested in his phone or talking to the bus driver than answering questions. He would give us some information and then drop us off ( while other guides went in with their tours) Our accommodations on the Dead Sea was spectacular. Overall the tours available were very good."

"Our vacation was fantastic! All of the sites and the accommodations were incredibly good. Our tour guide in Egypt (Emad Enan) was excellent. He was very knowledgable, personable, friendly and helpful in everyway. He took time to answer questions and give additional information on many subjects and became our friend. I can't say enough about how good he was. Our tour guide in Jordan was a great disappointment. He gave us limited attention , limited information, answered few questions, did not attend all of the sites we visited and other he only went part way. This was very disappointing as we could see many other tour guides doing so much more and taking their group through everything. We actually tagged along with other tours to here the information about the sites from their guides."
