Day 1: North America - Taipei

Board the overnight flight to Taipei, Taiwan.
Day 2: Taipei arrival

Upon arrival at Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy your free time for the rest of the day.
Day 3: Taipei

After breakfast, we will take a classic Taipei day tour to explore the city’s iconic historic landmarks and the modern tourist spots.

On this tour, you will visit the world-renowned National Palace Museum that houses the largest collection of ancient Chinese artifacts in the world, where the exquisite art pieces will blow your mind; Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, a prominent monument that symbolizes a significant period of Taiwan's history; Lungshan Temple that represents the local religious beliefs and practices; and outside view the famous skyscraper, Taipei 101, that showcases the modern technology and globalization of the city. Of course, there are more to discover that you will just need come to find out. This guided tour unveils the past, present and future of Taipei City. With the help of your tour guide, you will learn more about each attraction that you visit during the tour, and discover the city from a different perspective.

Day 4: Taipei - Sun Moon Lake

On the first morning of your Taiwan tour, depart from Taipei to Sun Moon Lake, the island’s largest freshwater lake. Named for its sun-like east side and crescent-shaped west side, this scenic gem is home to the indigenous Thao people. After lunch, enjoy a guided bus tour, visiting Ita Thao Village, the iconic Ci'en Pagoda, Xuanzang Temple, and Wenwu Temple. Your expert guide will share insights into the lake’s rich history and culture. End the day with a relaxing stay at a 5-star hotel, either by the lake or in downtown Taichung.

Day 5: Sun Moon Lake - Tainan - Kaohsiung

Start your second day with a hearty breakfast before heading to Tainan, Taiwan’s oldest city, rich in history. Visit Fort Zeelandia, built by the Dutch East India Company and later rebuilt by the Japanese. Stroll along Anping Old Street, Taiwan’s first named street, and savor local specialties like tofu pudding and shrimp rolls.

After lunch, continue to Kaohsiung, the largest city in southern Taiwan. Explore Fo Guang Shan Monastery, home to the towering 36-meter Buddha Amitabha and 480 surrounding statues. Gain insights into Buddhism from a resident monk. End the day with a stay in a 5-star hotel, conveniently surrounded by shops for any travel essentials.

Day 6: Kaohsiung - Kenting - Chihpen Hot Springs - Taitung

After breakfast, head south to Kenting National Park, famed for its coastal formations, diverse marine life, and tropical climate. Stop at Maopitou (Cat’s Nose), Chuanfan Rock (Sail Rock), Eluanpi Lighthouse, and Longpan Park, each offering unique natural and historical charm.

Then, journey along the South Link Highway to Taitung, enjoying scenic coastal views. End the day with a relaxing stay at a hot spring resort in Zhiben, known for its rejuvenating carbonate springs—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration.

Day 7: Taitung - East Coast National Scenic Area - Hualien -Yilan

After breakfast, continue your journey along Taiwan’s unspoiled east coast, marveling at its breathtaking landscapes. Visit Xiaoyeliu, known for its unique rock formations, Sanxiantai, featuring a striking cross-sea bridge, and Shitiping, a dramatic sea erosion terrace shaped over millions of years.

Enjoy a scenic train ride from Hualien to Yilan, then unwind at a 5-star hot spring hotel in Jiaoxi, perfect for relaxation after a day of exploration.

Day 8: Yilan - Taipei
